First Day | |
Afternoon | Meet at the community. Travel up Dinso Mountain to spot the migrating falcons. Pay respect to the monks and participate in an activity that involves helping to return crabs to their home (at the crab pawn shop). Then, it’s time to return to the resting point. |
Evening | Get on a raft towed by a fisherman’s boat and travel along Khlong Bang Son. This activity takes around 1 – 2 hours. Tuck into a seafood dinner with a focus on blue crab, squid, and shrimp paste. Once you have reached the mouth of the bay, you’ll head back to see the fireflies on both sides of the canal at dusk. |
Second Day | |
Dawn | Wake up with the amazing morning atmosphere of the canal directly in front of the accommodation. Eat breakfast at the homestay. |
8:00 AM | Get on a boat to Khai Island for some snorkeling |
12:00 PM | Lunch at the homestay and bon voyage |

Bang Son Community
Chumphon
Get on a special raft and take in the fresh breeze while enjoying all the seafood you can eat. You’ll float along Khlong Bang Son to a ridge of sand located at the mouth of the bay. It’s around here where you can watch the magnificent sunset in the evening. At night, it’s back onto a boat for a tour to see the famous fireflies light up the water – as well as a spot of squid fishing. There are more activities, too, like snorkeling (where you’ll be able to see the coral reefs underwater), as well as tasting Kopi Luwak, and visiting a yellow Pathio rice farm.
